CLEAR YOUR CALENDERS: Tyrus Thomas Celebrity Birthday Weekend!

You’re going to want to leave next Friday August 17th open in your calendars guys. Who cares who's getting married or your visiting grandma’s birthday ( I mean she’s PROBABLY just going to have one next year anyways), some things in life are too important to miss. Case in point:

The “celebrity” weekend  (sponsored by Hennessy) includes Curren$y, Tyrus (in an awesome Burger King crown), Coppertop (must have a product placement deal with Duracell) & DEE-1. Not much of a celebrity weekend considering I haven’t heard of two of them & the other two are not exactly A-listers. On second thought, if I’m going to a NBA player’s music festival this summer, it should have been Shannon Brown’s Wood-Star. The acts are way better & you can even get a Groupon to go. Alas, Tyrus wants the full $40 for some more tattoos with his mom. I guess he’s gotta make up for that dunk contest a while back somehow.

The best would be if the crowd asked Tyrus to do some sick dunks & instead he insists on shooting some mid-range jumpers to impress everyone. Very Tyrus Thomas-ish. Maybe I’m wrong & this party will be off the hook, sometimes even a broken clock is right twice a day. If nothing else, he’s at least been reunited with his bud Ben Gordon this summer, so they can at least reminisce about being a winning team together on the 'Cats. Good times….
