Magic Johnson Presents: The Magic Card

Magic has most recently been in the news for purchasing the L.A. Dodgers. That’s not the only major news for him (other than being in my blog twice in one day, you know he’s fist pumping over that right now. Thanks for reading Magic) as he’s released his own credit card pictured above, aptly named the MAGIC card. Check out MJ Enterprises for more info on this bad boy:

"In life, everyone can use a little magic to call their own. Entrepreneur and NBA Hall of Famer Earvin "Magic" Johnson, in partnership with OneWest Bank, FSB, today launches the MAGIC card, a reloadable prepaid MasterCard® that offers an excellent way for cardholders to simplify their lives and better manage their everyday financial needs"

First off cool of Magic to show of his card to us.  Second, If your budget is anything like mine, you’re already buying the rap albums & children’s books by these guys so you might as well buy them with a credit card from an NBA player to boot. It really was just a matter of time if you really think about it. Third, that $4.95 monthly fee will be TOTALLY worth it for all the looks you get from the ladies when you pay for your C Webb rap album & Vlade Divac jersey. I know my application is already in the mail but what would Magic buy with his own credit card?

  • Tickets to the play “Magic/Bird” (but is asked to leave at intermission when he keeps rooting for himself)

  • A six pack of Budweiser for his old buddy Larry, the strongest beer in the world

  • Kareem’s airline ticket just to sit in his seat again

  • Professional dancers to dance with him on Soul Train

  • Home state of Michigan (sounds like a lot but at $1000 a pop for a house in Detroit, not so bad)

  • Developing pictures of him at with all his rings & a postage stamp to send them to Clyde Drexler
.
  • One Last trip to Hawaii with Isaiah Thomas (for old times’ sake & bury the hatchet)

  • Another sports franchise, you know if he feels like spoiling himself that day

  • A trick card deck (showing why he’s really nicknamed Magic)

  • A framed picture of his greatest moment, finding out he & Michael Jackson both like fried chicken, not his marriage, child being born, NCAA championship, NBA championship, Olympic Goal Medal, or induction to the basketball hall of fame or anything. I mean WHO doesn’t like fried chicken, right?

Magic clearly has deep pockets, so what else would he buy? Put your suggestions in comments.
